01/09/2016–Dette forskningsprojekt undersøger, hvordan Forsvaret kan interagere med det civile domæne til styrkelsen af legitimitet i operationsområder. Formålet er at forbedre interaktionen mellem Forsvaret og civile i konfliktområder. Forskningsprojektet opdeles i tre dele: 1) en scopingfase, hvor civil-militær interaktion kortlægges empirisk samt i den videnskabelige litteratur, 2) innovative etnografiske undersøgelser af danske ’best practices’ og erfaringer med civil-militær interaktion i komplekse konfliktområder retrospektivt såvel som prospektivt, samt 3) forskningspublicering og afrapportering i form af udarbejdelse og implementering af nye værktøjer på operativt og strategisk niveau (militær træning, planlægning mv.) i Forsvaret.
